TWICE's Nayeon Buys 9.5 Billion Won ($6.8 Million) Property in Seoul's Cheongdam-dong

TWICE’s Nayeon has made another major real estate move, reportedly spending 9.5 billion won (approximately $6.8 million) on a property in Seoul’s ultra-premium Cheongdam-dong neighborhood.

The purchase gives the K-pop star a sizable corner property in one of the city’s most coveted areas, where luxury residences, entertainment companies, fashion brands, galleries, and high-end businesses are concentrated.

According to South Korean property records, Nayeon signed the purchase contract on May 3, with ownership officially transferred on August 24.

It’s the Land That Makes This Property Interesting

While the property comes with an existing building, the real attraction may be what’s underneath it.

The structure consists of a 105.38㎡ first floor, 73.31㎡ second floor, and 40.18㎡ basement, for a combined floor area of 218.87㎡.

The building itself is older, however, which means the site’s long-term value could lie primarily in the land and its redevelopment potential.

Won Building Senior Team Leader Ahn Hyung-joon estimated the property’s value at around 155 million won per pyeong (3.3㎡) — roughly $111,000 per pyeong, or about $33,600 per square meter based on an exchange rate of ₩1,400 per US$1.

That’s a significant figure, but it’s consistent with the premium attached to well-positioned land in Cheongdam-dong.

A Corner Lot With Serious Development Potential

The property’s location on a two-road corner lot could be one of its biggest advantages.

Corner sites tend to offer greater visibility and flexibility, potentially making the property suitable for a future commercial building, private office, or company headquarters.

The site’s official zoning has also recently changed from mixed residential and commercial use to entirely neighborhood commercial use, giving the property a more commercially focused designation.

That could make redevelopment an especially interesting possibility down the road.

For now, however, there is no official announcement from Nayeon’s agency regarding plans to demolish or redevelop the property.

Nayeon’s Latest Big Real Estate Move

At 9.5 billion won ($6.8 million), the Cheongdam-dong purchase represents a substantial investment by the TWICE star.

Rather than simply buying a luxury residence, Nayeon appears to have secured a piece of high-value commercial real estate in one of Seoul’s most prestigious neighborhoods.

And if the property is eventually redeveloped, the aging building could end up being just the beginning of a much larger real estate play.
