RESCENE Donates 50 Million KRW (~$36k) to Help Geoje City Flood Victims

RESCENE donated 50 million KRW (approx. 36,000 USD) to help Geoje City residents affected by heavy rains on August 19. The donation was made under the name of their fandom, REMINE, to support flood recovery and aid displaced residents.

Fans also contributed. The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association set up a donation page for REMINE on the same day, raising nearly 60 million KRW.

Geoje City is the hometown of RESCENE member Won Yi. A video of Won Yi and Minami, another member, traveling and shouting "Geoje, yahoo!" went viral. In May, Won Yi was appointed as a promotional ambassador for Geoje City, and RESCENE has continued to promote the city through various offline activities.

Meanwhile, RESCENE recently attended KCON LA 2026 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

RESCENE's fan base grew through their music, but their big break came in 2026 with Woni's YouTube content.

Woni, from Geoje, started a personal YouTube channel called 'Hello, I'm Woni, Nice to Meet You' to showcase her fellow members' personalities. A hit came when Woni and Minami, a Japanese member, appeared together. Minami's famous "Geoje Yaho!" catchphrase went viral.

The attention from the "Geoje Yaho" meme boosted RESCENE's music career. "LOVE ATTACK," released in 2024, started climbing Korean music charts. The girls also released a remake of KARA's "Pretty Girls," which is gaining traction.
