Japanese girl group f5ve has sparked fan worry after its social media account suggested the members want to record new music but cannot.

Fans started the #savef5ve hashtag, criticizing management at LDH Japan over limited promotions and a lack of new releases. The campaign grew after f5ve began replying directly to posts.

When a fan told them to “GET IN THE STUDIO NOWWWWW,” the verified account replied, “wish we could.” They also stated, “we have wanted to record music” and “we have not wanted to take time.”

When another user asked who was stopping them, f5ve replied, “if we want to and the producers want to, who is left?” This led fans to suspect the group was pointing at management.

f5ve also told fans elsewhere that all songs outside their Bacardi collaborations were recorded before 2024, writing that members “would love to record new music.” Fans have since tagged LDH accounts and executive producer BloodPop to demand support.

The five-member group features SAYAKA, KAEDE, MIYUU, and RURI from Happiness and E-girls, along with RUI from iScream. They debuted as SG5 in 2022 before relaunching as f5ve in 2024 with BloodPop.

Their first album, “SEQUENCE 01,” dropped in May 2025, followed by “SEQUENCE 01.5” that November with 29 tracks, including “Wish,” “Snowman” and “I Choose You.”

While questions remain about new recordings, f5ve is heading to Australia in October alongside South Korean artist The Deep. Melbourne and Sydney shows sold out fast, prompting a new Brisbane date on October 7.

The growing overseas demand has fueled fan frustration over the lack of new releases and promotion.

While the allegations against LDH are unconfirmed fan claims, f5ve’s own comments make clear that the members want to make music.

With members and producers seemingly willing, fans are left wondering what stands between f5ve and the studio.
